Dancing Queens

We survived yet another dance recital with sanity intact. It wasa 3-hour affair with 37 (!!)numbers, filled with countless tutus, pink tights and smeared lipstick on 3- and 4-year olds, but our girls loved being part of it. They basked in the bright lights and thunderous applause and couldn't wait for the requisite flowers at the end. We were proud of them and can't wait to do it all again next year!

At the Old Ball Game

We had a ball at the ballgame about a week ago, cheering the Salt Lake Bees onto victory over Las Vegas. The girls were probably more interested in the snowcones than the actual game, of course, but we sat with Margie and Lucy, Skebekah, Carrie and Bret, and Dantley and then after the game got to go into the outfield, lay out blankets and watch fireworks. A great night!

Spoooky Ghost

We had family night tonight about the Holy Ghost and Lauren raised her hand in the middle of it all and explained to us, "The Holy Ghost isn't the spoooky ghost, he's the friendly and nice one that likes flowers."

Parkin' It in Park City

We had a fun week in Park City! The kids especially loved swimming every day and getting to stay up late playing games and watching movies. We went on several walks and I fit in couple bike rides and I think we all had a good time. My sister, Margie, and her daughter Lucy came up with us for the week (while her husband is patroling the friendly sky around Afghanistan) and made it lots of fun. These pictures are from our walk around the Old Farm Trail just north of Park City.

It's a Boy?!?

Tami had her first "official" doctor's appointment on Wednesday, and Dr. Boheen thought that everything was going well and on track for a mid-December due date. She played around with the ultrasound and, reinforcing that it is way too early to really tell, said that she thinks that maybe it looks like a little boy! We're, of course, very excited!

Lagoon Summer

I resisted for whatever reason, but after spending a fun day at Lagoon last week, we decided to get season passes for Lagoon for this summer. The kids are very excited! Tanner will be content just to ride the carousel over and over, while Kaitlyn (and Ashley a little bit) are slowly getting more daring and willing to try out the bigger rides. I just may get one of them to go with me on Wicked by the end of the summer!
