More sledding

The kids have had a lot of fun sledding this winter, especially Kaitlyn and the boys (despite Tanner's pained looks in the pictures, he really did have a fun time!).

How high can YOU count?

I was playing hide and seek with Lauren and she asked me how high I could count.
Me: "I don't know. How about a million?"
Lauren: "Okay, how bout you count that high, then come find me."
Me: "Um, how about I count to twelve instead."
Lauren: "Is twelve close to a million?"
Me: "Pretty close."
Lauren: "Okay, count to twelve then."

Wild Blue Yonder

We discovered the Hill Air Force Museum on Saturday and were surprised at how much fun our kids had there. We saw lots of planes and uniforms, "flew" in kid planes and even found uncle Russ's plane, the A-10.

A Sledding We Go!

We've had fun sledding several times in the past couple weeks with cousins and friends. I've taken Tanner for the first time this year and he's hooked--he absolutely loves it and has a great time. Kaitlyn is by far the most daring of my kids, while Ashley and Lauren both need some coaxing but eventually come around and have a fun time once I get them started down the sledding hills.

Santa Came! He Found Our House!

Our kids are nervous every year that somehow Santa's gonna forget our house somewhere in all the hustle and bustle, but once again he came through for us! Way to go, Santa! The kids woke up at 5 AM and couldn't believe how long it took them to drag Mom and Dad out of bed. We eventually got up and had a fun Christmas with lots of dolls and trucks, giggles and meltdowns, and all in all a fun day together.

Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve at Tami's parents' house, complete with the kids performing a Grinch play, Santa lookalike contest, the Nativity, a pajama parade and one fun present to open night, with big hopes that Santa Claus would come that night!
