Once There Was A Snowman

Well, we admittedly don't make the best snowmen in the world, but we did enjoy a nice day in the snow!

Fall Fun

We went up Little Cottonwood Canyon for some Johnson family pictures and found some beautiful trees and colors.

Tanner, the Reluctant Soccer Star

Despite what the pictures show, Tanner really did have fun in his soccer games. He was usually ready to be done by halftime and didn't like getting pushed around by the masses of boys in the "swarmball" we call 4-year old soccer, but all in all enjoyed the season.

Hints of Fall

We drove up into the mountains and went on a nature walk yesterday between Conference sessions. Wow! Some amazing color already starting.

Happy 80th, Dad

It was a great experience to travel out to Virden, NM to see my Dad's grave and newly installed gravestone on Sep 18, 2011, his 80th birthday. I went out with Ray, Amy and my Mom and we had a good day together.

Golden Spike

We went out to the Golden Spike National Historic Site on Monday and saw a reenactment of the driving of the Golden Spike to finish the first transcontinental railway. The girls had learned all about it in school and were explaining it all as we drove there, then had fun watching actors reenact the ceremony and then watch as they drove the spike in and drove the steam locomotives in. We ended the outing with a drive by the new Brigham City Temple under construction and yummy fresh peach shakes at Peach City Diner in Brigham City.

Whoooo Just Had a Birthday?

Ashley had a hooot of a time at her night owl birthday party this last weekend. The girls had a fun time decorating ceramic owls, playing night owl games and playing together.
