Zoo for You

We had a warm day on Saturday and ventured out to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. The kids all had a fun time, especially Tanner, who pointed and ran and had to check out all the animals and make sure we all saw them too. It turned out to be a fun outing!

Skiing Through the Aspen Grove

We went to a marriage retreat over the weekend at Aspen Grove and had a fun time and even gave cross-country skiing a try. It was a lot of fun--Tami said she prefers this kind of skiing much more than the alternative.

More sledding

The kids have had a lot of fun sledding this winter, especially Kaitlyn and the boys (despite Tanner's pained looks in the pictures, he really did have a fun time!).

How high can YOU count?

I was playing hide and seek with Lauren and she asked me how high I could count.
Me: "I don't know. How about a million?"
Lauren: "Okay, how bout you count that high, then come find me."
Me: "Um, how about I count to twelve instead."
Lauren: "Is twelve close to a million?"
Me: "Pretty close."
Lauren: "Okay, count to twelve then."

Wild Blue Yonder

We discovered the Hill Air Force Museum on Saturday and were surprised at how much fun our kids had there. We saw lots of planes and uniforms, "flew" in kid planes and even found uncle Russ's plane, the A-10.

A Sledding We Go!

We've had fun sledding several times in the past couple weeks with cousins and friends. I've taken Tanner for the first time this year and he's hooked--he absolutely loves it and has a great time. Kaitlyn is by far the most daring of my kids, while Ashley and Lauren both need some coaxing but eventually come around and have a fun time once I get them started down the sledding hills.
